Fastsoft / Guide
Practical guide
Request dedicated IPv4 and IPv6 endpoints and compare the exit seen at this site’s Cloudflare edge to inspect dual-stack connectivity for this browser.
How to use it
- Start the test to query IPv4, IPv6 and this site’s echo endpoint.
- Inspect the public address and request duration for each dedicated probe.
- Compare the protocol used to reach this site; routing rules may differ by destination.
Example
If both probes return addresses but this site reports IPv4, this request reached Fastsoft over IPv4 while the browser could also reach the IPv6 probe.
What to know
A timeout, proxy or browser policy can make a probe inconclusive; it does not prove IPv6 is absent. Duration is not ICMP latency. The site echo is available only in Cloudflare Pages.
Common question
Why does this site use IPv4 when both probes work?
DNS, network policy and proxy settings can select a different connection for each destination. This site choosing IPv4 does not negate the IPv6 result.
