Practical guide
Turn a common cURL example into editable JavaScript fetch code when moving from API documentation to a front-end project. Conversion parses text only; it does not execute the request.
How to use it
- Paste one curl command.
- Convert it, then inspect URL, method, headers and body.
- Copy the code, review it and adapt it inside your own project before running it.
Example
A POST command with a Content-Type header and -d payload becomes a fetch call with method, headers and body fields.
What to know
Only common options are handled. Shell variables, pipelines, redirects, file uploads and complex quoting may be lost. Basic Auth output is a simple example; never place sensitive credentials in public front-end code.
Common question
Can I run every generated snippet unchanged?
No. Review authentication, binary payloads and any shell-specific behavior against the original request.
